Downtown Art Walk

Art Walks are a festive time when participating business owners keep their doors open late to display artwork by local and renowned visiting artists that the community can enjoy. Maps available at the Downtown Bellingham Partnership, Allied Arts of Whatcom County, and at participating downtown venues.

2011 Juried Artist Series: Up for Interpretation - Opening Night

The Allied Arts 2011 Juried Artist series kicks off with Up for Interpretation, featuring the work of Gary Armstrong, George Jartos, and Trevor Smith. The public is invited to the opening night celebration at the Allied Arts Gallery and the Downtown Art Walk: Friday January 7th, from 6pm to 10pm. There will be an Exhibit Walk-Thru with the artists from 6:30pm to 7pm on opening night.

At first all of these artists’ work may seem whimsical or silly. But look deeper and the themes you discover might surprise you.

In conjunction with this show, Allied Arts’ Inside the Box Series will feature work from Jayme Curley.
